About Thomas Janos

Thomas Janos

Thomas Edward Janos captures the beauty of the world we live in on canvas, painting landscapes and wildlife. He started sketching at a young age but stopped when he left for the military. Later in life he started woodcarving and slowly turned towards wildfowl carving (as seen at lumberjock.com/bug and etsy.com/shop/designerfirewood) and transitioned from acrylic paints to the use of oil paints, which transitioned to oil painting. Thomas spends as much time on the lakes and in the woods of Minnesota and Northern Wisconsin as possible enjoying the beauty, solitude and wildlife it offers. Thomas lives in Stacy Minnesota with his wife Katherine, their dog and horse. They have 5 adult children, 6 grand children.
